We did a lot today. John was up at 6:00AM for his daily run. Today he ran 7.5 miles from out hotel all the way around Diamondhead. We had planned to attend the Catholic mass that was supposed to take place on the beach next to our hotel, but it turns out it was on Saturday. So instead, we walked to a very nice church in central Waikiki. It was interesting how they incorporated a bit of Hawaiian culture into the mass. After church, we had lunch at Duke's Grill. Very scenic and good food as well. John had a grilled chicken and avocado sandwich (hold the avocado) and Jennifer had a Turkey sandwich. Very tasty waffle fries for both. They were apparently having some sort of longboard surfing contest today, but it didn't seem like much was going on while we were in the area, so we split. We spent the afternoon roasting on the beach. Another hot day...but always a great breeze. Today was a jellyfish day, so we stayed out of the ocean for the most part. We did hit the pool for a bit before heading back to the room with a pizza. Tomorrow we're planning to explore the island more...
